Dear Families and Friends,

We wanted to give you an update on the current situation with regards to COVID-19 and tell you how we’re addressing the impacts of the pandemic within our homes.

We continue to monitor the situation on a daily basis and make sure to follow public health advice. Both of our homes are currently COVID-19 free, but we strive to ensure that safety precautions are maintained in order to prevent a change to this status.

Consequently, and based on the instructions of local public health services, we have closed our homes to visiting and are now following local lockdown measures. We expect this situation to continue as local outbreaks come and go. As indicated, we review policy regarding Coronavirus continuously, and aim to respond as quickly as possible to maintain the safety of our residents. We are hopeful that new measures will be announced in the near future with regards to visiting and allowing loved ones into our homes.

When we are given the green light to reopen, we will be able to offer Pod Visiting. We have complete confidence that this means of visiting prohibits any transmission of the virus and provides a safe space for families and residents. For more information please contact your relevant home over the phone.

As always, our priority is to ensure that our residents continue to live safely and comfortably. We make sure to maintain emphasised infection prevention measures whilst continuing to deliver meaningful activities and a means of contacting families. Despite limits to physical meetings, we are still seeking out other means of maintaining contact- whether through phone calls, Zoom, or Facetime. We know that family interaction is crucial for our residents and their wellbeing, and so are doing our best to make sure this is upheld in our homes.

Our homes continue to be open for new admissions. We are working closely with our local authorities to be made aware of individuals who need support or are struggling because of self-isolation. If you feel that a loved one could benefit from being admitted into one our homes during this time, please contact your chosen home for details on admissions and viewings (which at this time will be limited) but can be undertaken by a virtual tour with one of our senior team.

We hope this message brings you some comfort but understand that families will continue to be concerned or nervous. As such, we encourage you to get in contact with us at either of our homes.
